About Me

Every second matters in an emergency.  Too many schools, businesses, and communities still lack access to affordable CPR and AED training. My mission is to change that by making lifesaving education accessible and equitable, so more people have the skills and confidence to act when it counts.

My name is Ava Bryan. I’m a certified Red Cross CPR/AED trainer, a full-time student at Spelman College studying International Studies with a concentration in International Development. As a proud native Atlantan, I have benefited from community programs, quality healthcare, and the discipline of competing as both a competitive gymnast and golfer.  These experiences taught me resilience, focus, and the value of service.

I was introduced to CPR and AED certification through my cousin, and I knew I wanted to share these lifesaving techniques with others, especially young mothers, students, and families who may one day need the confidence to act quickly in an emergency.

I believe lifesaving education should be clear, practical, and available to everyone, not limited by cost or circumstance.  Through Vital Steps CPR, I am committed to teaching these skills in a way that empowers communities and saves lives.

Hope has two beautiful daughters: Anger at the way things are, and Courage to see that they do not remain the way they are.
